Attack On Osinbanjo's Convoy Exposes Ilorin General Hospital, KWSG'S Incompetence

The dastardly attack by suspected agents of the outgoing hegemony in the State on APC members who were on the convoy of the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, at Isale Aluko area of Ilorin metropolis yesterday ones again exposed the glaring maladministration the good people of Kwara are subjected to and have been forced to endure for decades.

The attack which saw no fewer than 8 victims including bystanders sustaining gun shot injuries, which were all immediately rushed to Ilorin General Hospital.

On getting to Ilorin General Hospital which was among the recently renovated General Hospitals with a whooping #1.6b said to have been incurred. It was discovered to our dismay, that Ilorin General Hospital couldn't decisively attend to the victims other than apply bandage and dress the gun wounds, leaving the victims in agonising pain for several hours.

All the victims were directed to private hospitals in town for x-ray after which most of them were referred to Unilorin Teaching Hospital for treatment, after almost 6 hours of excruciating pains.

When members of the Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq campaign organisation visited the victims, members of staff who spoke with our team in confidence, pleaded that we help facilitate the transfer of the victims to better health facilities, stressing that the hospital lacks the required manpower, technical know-how and facilities to give the victims the required urgent attention.

This latest development have further confirmed the widely believed incompetence of the outgoing government and lack of compassion for the masses by the outgoing hegemony which had held sway in the State for almost four decades.
