KYC, Plumbers, Water Resources Ministry Move To Fix Leaking Water Pipes In Ilorin Metropolis


In response to calls from various areas of Ilorin metropolis on issues bordering on water pipe leakages, Kwara Youth Center, Association of Plumbers of Nigeria and Ministry of Water Resources are set to reach more areas within the State capital.

According to a statement issued in Ilorin on Thursday and signed by Convener Kwara Youth Center, Kayode Oyin-Zubair said, the team has three legs with the active involvement of the Ministry of Water Resources.

According to him, the ministry is represented by its director of works, the plumbers association by Alhaji Suleiman Onigbari and the centre by relevant sub committees for effectiveness.

The team will work in the following areas: Tanke, Fate, Pipeline and Flower Garden. Others are Alore, Okelele, Abayawo and Adabata. The repair exercise is expected to terminate at Baboko and Adewole areas.

The exercise will be carried out on Friday and Saturday to cover the aforesaid areas of Ilorin metropolis.

The statement enjoined residents of the State to take ownership of government projects and respond swiftly to any emerging issues in an attempt to bring succour to the people.

KYC commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for raising the bar of governance by providing effective response and feedback channels in the discharge of his duties.
