APC Stakeholders Debunk BOB Removal Rumour, Warn Of Dire Consequences

Prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked the rumoured removal of the party’s caretaker Chairman, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, describing it as a baseless rumour.

This much was contained in a press statement jointly signed by Prof. Oba Abu, Alh. L.A.K Jimoh, Chief Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, Mal. Lukman Mustapha, Alh. Isiaka Alao, Chief Sunday Oyebiyi, Alh. S.Y Abdullahi, Alh. Taju Audu, Alh. Abubakar Manko, Amb. Mohammed Bello, Alh. Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal, Mal. Saliu Mustapha, Waziri Yakubu Gobir on behalf of others

It reads “It has come to our notice, rumours circulating on social media purportedly removing the caretaker Chairman of our party, All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa and his immediate replacement with Alh. Abdullahi Sanmari.

“We hereby affirm that Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa remains the only recognised and duly sworn-in caretaker Chairman of our party, in line with the NEC resolution of December 8th, 2020 and subsequently sworn-in on December 11th, 2020 in Abuja with the rest of his colleagues from other States across the federation.

“We thus, by this release denounce the purported removal as a baseless rumour, which holds no water and at best the figment of the imagination of the peddlers, who are hellbent on hijacking the party’s structure through the back door.

“We also use this opportunity to warn the rumour peddlers and the leadership of the party at all levels of the dire consequences of the desperate attempt to remove and foist an unpopular leadership on our great party, the APC” it reads.
