The Crisis rocking Kwara State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as party members protest at Government House, Ilorin over alleged hijack of Membership Registration materials by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
Some APC members in Kwara State have protested the alleged pocketing of the APC Membership registration Committee by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. The protested stormed the Government House along Ahmadu Bello way about two hours ago.
Recall that INSIDER NG had exclusively reported earlier in the day how the Chairman of the Committee, Senator John Danboyi was drafted to head the registration Committee in Kwara by the governor’s elder sister, Senator Khairat Gwadabe-Abdulrazak.
Our Correspondent gathered that the registration have been handed over to Kwara APC Deputy Chairman, Abdullahi Samari, a loyalist of Abdulrazaq.
Although the committee did not disclose the quantities and number of the materials upon arrival in the State, this medium however exclusively obtained the list of the items which included a total 82 registration cartons and 2 pieces; and 1,872 pieces of registration forms spread across the 16 LGAs.
A breakdown of the registration cartons show that Ilorin West has the highest with 268, followed by Ilorin East with 218. Kaiama, with 56, has the lowest. The forms were also distributed in accordance with the numbers of registration cartons.
Meanwhile, the APC Caretaker Chairman in Governor Abdulrazaq’s ward-Adewole ward under the Chairmanship of Alhaji AbdulRazaq Olowojare declared support for the authentic Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa.
The meeting availed party faithfuls the opportunity to discuss salient issues among others which includes; the forthcoming Party Membership Registration and Revalidation excercise and as well reaffirm their undiluted support to the Chairmanship of the state caretaker chairman, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa.
Stakeholders at meeting include Ilorin West party Local government Chairman and PRO Alhaji Amuda Olugbon and Mallam Ibrahim Adewole respectively.
All the ward executive members under the leadership of Alhaji AbdulRazaq Olowojare also attended the meeting.
