Why We Won’t Allow The Use Of Hijab – Baptist School
The Propiertor of Baptist School, Mr. Victor Dada has Explained the reason why the School management will not allow the Use of Hijab by Muslim students in the School.
Mr. Victor in an Interview with Channel Television Explained that Baptist School is an missionary School which is owned by the Baptist Church.
He Said the School Management will not allow the Use of hijab because it is not inline with the principle and practice of Baptist Church.
“The place was not Using Hijab before, There was no use of hijab here before just on Monday they Started to make the use of this” He added.
According to him, “The Court did not in anyway said we are not the Owner of the School, According to the rules and regulation of Kwara State Ministry of Education the Propiertor of Mission School determine the Uniform of the School.”
“We are the one that Appoint the principal, The vice Principal, Head Master and head Mistress of our School and it was approved by the Government”
“At the same time we are the one that gives the directives of the Uniform of the School, Hijab is not part of our Uniform in all the Mission Schools”. He Stated
