AbdulRazaq's Wife Procures Health Insurance To Support Sickle Cell Warriors


In commemoration of the 2021 World Sickle Cell day the first lady of kwara State and Founder Ajike People Support Center, Ambassador Dr Olufolake Abdulrazaq has procured a one year Health Insurance cover to support indigent sickle cell warriors drawn from the three Senatorial Districts of the State.

The health care support was procured through the Kwara State Health Insurance Agency to assuage the challenges of the benefitting sickle cell warriors.

Ambassador Abdulrazaq used the event to reaffirm her support for people living with the sickle cell disease while urging the public to not treat people living with the disease with disdain. She also called for genotype testing so as to ascertain ones status in this regard.


Earlier, the Executive secretary of the Kwara State Health Insurance Agency Dr. Jetawo Winters while handing out the details of the Kwara healthcare package noted that when provided with proper care sickle cell warriors will thrive. She commended the first lady for the gesture and for always supporting Kwara Health Insurance Agency since it started in September 2020.

Also the team lead of Pearl Sickle Cell initiative Miss Titilope Makinde thanked the first lady for this laudable initiative while she enjoined well to do members of our society to take a cue from the first lady’s gesture.

It would be recalled that the first lady of kwara State and the Ajike People Support Center are in partnership with the immediate past Mayor of Brent and the United Kingdom Sickle Cell Society to draw support for people living with Sickle Cell in the state.


The event was witnessed by The Office of the First Lady of Kwara State, The Ajike People Support Center, National Orientation Agency, National Council of Women Societies, the Red Cross Society and other Civil Society Organizations in the State.
