As The Landlord Of APC In Kwara State, I Received Dollars From Bukola Saraki On His Invitation - Saheed Popoola

Member representing Balogun/Ojomu constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Saheed Popoola has denounced reports going round in the media about his purported visit to former Kwara State Governor and erstwhile Senate president, Bukola Saraki.

A Facebook statement by the Ifonkanbale Media Office described the insinuations about Asiwaju Bola Tinubu's denial of association with Popoola as baseless.

The statement read "Let us begin by spelling it out clearly that Honorable Saheed Popoola visitation to the former Senate president was through an invitation gesticulation from the former Senate President, a gesture that once again shows how relevant Hon Prince Saheed Popoola is in Kwara State politics.

"This invitation gesture can be akin to many similar occurrences that we have seen in the past using the case of President Muhammad Buhari as an example when he invited former President Good luck Jonathan to Aso- rock. 

"If we did not lose count, such invitations have exceeded 10 times that often involves closed-door meetings and heaven did not fall.

It added "Furthermore, the baseless report also claimed that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has distanced himself from our principal Hon Prince Saheed Popoola, this is a laughable statement and it is even more untrue and should be disregarded by the general public.

"Recently Hon Prince Saheed Popoola was captured in an event where a famous Fuji musician Saheed Osupa calling him Omo Tinubu, Omo Aregbesola at The Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola birthday in Osun state, this is to furthermore prove that there is no rift whatsoever between our principal Hon Saheed Popoola and Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu".

The Lawmaker also reiterated that he remains the landlord of APC in Kwara State which was why the former Senate President Bukola Saraki invited him.
