Kwara Govt, NSCDC Collaborates To Guarantee Residents' Safety, Good Gygiene
The Kwara State Government through the Ministry of Environment has partnered with the state command of the National Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) to ensure good hygiene and safety of residents
This was brought to fore in a familiarisation visit by the Commissioner of the ministry, Mrs Remilekun Oluwatobi Banigbe and her team to the state Command Headquarter, Ilorin.
Banigbe while appreciating the efforts of the command in enforcing law and order seeks for more supports for the ministry to keep the environment clean and encourage practices that promote and preserve health
The Commissioner said when the environment is clean, the good hygiene of the residents will be assured and people will be free from any outbreak of epidemic.
She also solicited for the command's assistance on every Environmental Sanitation Day for the environmental officials to discharge their duties effectively without fear.
Responding, the Commander of the NSCDC, Makinde Ayinla Iskil vowed to support the ministry with everything in his disposal, expressing satisfaction that the state has an energetic and committed person as Commissioner for Environment.
The Commander said the command and the ministry will work together to ensure the state is free from dirt and the dwellers are law abiding,
He also promised to work with the ministry to evacuate those trading on government set back for traffic to reduce on our roads.
The Director of Environment, Mr Gabriel Towoju in his appreciation, thanked the Commander for his gesture and support at all time.
He charged the command to intensify it's efforts as they are both working for the safety and good hygiene of Kwarans
