Kwara PDP Celebrates Her Excellency Barr Toyin Saraki As She Bags Traditional Title In Lagos

The Kwara State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has felicitated the wife of former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki and Founder-president of The Wellbeing Foundation Africa (WBFA), Mrs Toyin-Ojora Saraki on her installation as the Erelu Bobajiro of Iru-Land, Lagos State.

The Oniru of Iru-Land, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal on Thursday conferred Mrs Saraki with the traditional title at a colourful event held at his palace, which is part of activities to mark his one-year anniversary on the throne.

In a statement by its State Publicity Secretary, Tunde Ashaolu, the Kwara PDP said Mrs Saraki was deserving of the title and appreciated the Oniru of Iru-Land for finding her worthy of the recognition.

“Our party heartily felicitates Her Excellency, Mrs Toyin-Ojora Saraki on her conferment with the traditional title of Erelu Bobajiro of Iru-Land by the Oniru of Iru-Land, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal. This a well-deserved recognition and honour for a woman who has done so much for her country and humanity, both in her public and private life.

“We appreciate the Oniru for finding her worthy of this title. We have no doubt that she will live up to the expectations of the monarch and the entire Iru-land.

“As a woman born into a royal family, Mrs Saraki has always demonstrated traits of nobility and service to humanity. She has through her initiative, The Wellbeing Foundation Africa (WBFA), made positive impacts in the lives of the less privileged especially women and children in different parts of Africa.

“It is our belief that this recognition will spur Mrs Saraki to do more for the people. We wish her well in all her endeavours and pray to God Almighty to continue to protect her and grant her a longer life in the service of her creator and humanity,” the Kwara PDP said.
