Kwara State First Lady Emerges Vice Chairperson Of The Northern Governors Wives Forum


Earlier today Monday 28th of June in Abuja, the Federal Capital territory, the First Lady of Kwara State and Founder Ajike People Support Center, Her Excellency, Ambassador, Dr. Mrs. Olufolake Abdulrazaq emerged as the new Vice-Chairperson of the Northern Governors Wives Forum in an election that took place at the Forum's quarterly meeting hosted by the outgoing chairperson of the forum and first lady of Niger State H E Dr Aminat Bello at the Niger State Governor's lodge Abuja while Her Excellency, Arc Hadiza El-Rufai emerged as the new Chairperson of the forum.

It will be recalled that Amb. Dr. Abdulrazaq is also the Secretary of the Nigerian Governors Wives Forum. On her election as the Vice Chairperson of the Northern Governors Wives Forum Amb. Abdulrazaq thanked members of the forum for the trust reposed in her and promised to effectively discharge her responsibilities all round.

Other elected Executives are; First Lady of Taraba, HE, Anna Darius Ishaku, Secretary; First Lady of Gombe, HE, Asmau Inuwa Yahaya, Treasurer; HE, First Lady of Plateau, HE Regina Lalong, the PRO; and First Lady of Sokoto, HE Mariya Tambuwal as the Welfare Officer respectively.

At the meeting, the First Ladies reiterated their commitment to continue to work assiduously to uplift the grassroot, intensify the work on tackling the prevalence of drug abuse and illicit trafficking and further the gains of their work on gender based violence amongst other initiatives.
 
The next quarterly meeting was agreed to hold in Kebbi State in September 2021
