2023 Elections: Clergy, Congregations Shower Prayers On Asoju Odo At Osi, Ekiti LG

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the YPP House of Reps Candidate for the Irepodun/Isin/Ekiti/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency Charles Olufemi has received prayers from the clergy and congregation of Christ Apostolic Church Osi District Zonal Headquarters, Osi Ekiti Local Government.
While addressing the congregation at the zonal joint service of CAC in Osi on the 2nd October, 2022. Folayan said he deemed it very important to seek the support of God and His servants towards his 2023 ambition and beyond.
Asoju Odo said, his decision to contest for the House of Representatives seat in the 2023 general election is to advance his consistent efforts in fighting for the poor and downtrodden especially at the grassroots.
Quoting from the book of proverb 31:8-9 “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.
“I’m a known youth activist, I have dedicated my time to the course of fighting for the interest of the youth and the poor people, I have faced several opposition from the oppressors but I will never give up till God answer our prayers.
“I’m contesting today to give me the opportunity to fight for the people and bring dividend of democracy directly to them. I have the understanding that only God gives power. I’m not relying on the support of any godfather but the support of God. That is why I’m here to receive your prayers.
Responding to his request, the Clergy of the Church Pastor A O Adewumi said Folayan would receive the mercy of God in the coming election, he took him to the alter and requested the congregation to pray for him for God’s protection and success in the coming 2023 general elections.
