Emir Of Ilorin Commiserates With Bola Shagaya Over Mother's Death

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has commiserated with a business mogul and top notch in community services, Hajia Muinat Bola Shagaya, over the demise of her mother, Alhaja Saadatu Abdulraheem.

Alhaji Sulu-Sulu-Gambari who confirmed the purposelfulness of Hajia Shagaya to the downtrodden in the society described her late mother as a quintessential mother who nurtured her children in line with the teachings of God.

The Emir, in a condolence message issued by his spokesman, said Alhaja Saadatu's demise is not only a loss to the Baakini family but a huge and monumental loss to humanity due to the numerous lives she touched with kindness during her lifetimes before her death.

He also recalled the numerous interventions of the deceased’s daughter in the development of Ilorin Emirate and beyond through her philanthropical programmes stressing that, "Only quality motherhood can produce useful offsprings that will impact positively on humanity."

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari however urged Hajia Shagaya and her siblings to take solace in the fact that late Alhaja Saadatu lived and examplary life worthy of emulation.

He prayed Allah to forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds and admit her into al-janatul firdaos. 

Similarly, the Emir also expressed shock over the demise of his younger sister, Hajia Maryam Kolawole nee Sulu-Gambari, describing her demise as unfortunate and saddening.

He added that Hajia Aminat was a trusted, caring and dedicated sister who never hide her loyalty to him, praying Allah to be pleased with her soul and comfort the entire royal families of Ilorin both home and abroad the fortitude to bear the great loss.
