The Governorship Candidate of the Young Progressives Party YPP in Kwara, Waziri Yakubu Gobir has expressed his condolences to the Daibu family over the death of Justice Sofiyyah Titi Daibu.
Gobir made his feelings known in a condolence message on Tuesday in Ilorin.
The Madawaki of Ilorin described Justice Daibu as a judge who fully understood the weight of the trust placed upon her in the discharge of her responsibilities.
While praying for Daibu, her children, and members of the family for the fortitude to bear the loss, Gobir urged them to take consolation in the fact that the deceased lived a life that is worth emulating and left an invaluable legacy.
He said; “It is with a heavy heart I learnt this morning of the demise of Justice Sofiyyah Titilayo Daibu (Nee Nagode). I offer my sincere condolences to her husband, children and the Kwara State judiciary.”
He affirmed that the deceased also served as a mentor and source of inspiration to many and became an icon of her profession.
As a mother, wife, and astute legal professional, she upheld the values of honesty and steadfastness. As a philanthropist, she cared deeply for people and lived an exemplary life with dignity and inspired so many people she encountered.
I pray that Almighty Allah will forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannah Firdaus. May he comfort her family and Kwarans during this tough situation.
May her gentle soul rest in peace. Amen.
