Lagos -- October, 6th, 2023: In celebration of International Day of the Girl-child, Youth Empowerment Foundation is proud to recognize the remarkable contributions and achievements of female athletes in the world of Taekwondo. Taekwondo has always been a sport that promotes not only physical prowess but also the values of respect, perseverance, and equality, and it is our privilege to honor the girls and women who embody these principles in all the sports.
At Youth Empowerment Foundation, we firmly believe that sports should be a platform for everyone, regardless of gender, to showcase their talents, resilience and determination. Taekwondo is no exception, and over the years, we have witnessed the incredible growth of female participation and excellence in this martial art.
Female athletes have not only excelled in Taekwondo but have also shattered stereotypes, proving that they are equally capable of achieving greatness in any field they choose. They serve as role models for countless aspiring athletes worldwide, inspiring a new generation of girls to pursue their dreams with courage and conviction.
International Day of the Girlchild shows the importance of gender equality and the need to create an inclusive environment where every individual thrives. Youth Empowerment Foundation is committed to fostering this inclusivity within our sport, and we are continuously working to break down barriers and promote diversity in Taekwondo.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the female athletes, coaches, officials, and supporters who have made Taekwondo a more inclusive and diverse community. Your dedication and achievements are a testament to the strength and resilience of women and girls worldwide.
On this International Day of the Girlchild, we celebrate the power of female athletes in Taekwondo and sports in general and look forward to a future where gender equality is not just a goal but a reality in every facet of our society.
