Kwara Central Youth Development Associations Leaders To Undergo Capacity Training

Kwara Central youth development associations leaders are set to participate in a two-day mentorship training program aimed at enhancing their skills for community development. The program is organized by the Office of the Special Technical Adviser to Senator Saliu Mustapha on Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, and Job Creation, Mallam Nasir Abdulqyadri, and will be conducted in different batches. It is a non-pecuniary initiative.

The organizers have designed the batch arrangement to ensure that every youth leader across the four local government areas in the district benefits from the opportunity to the fullest extent.

The first training session is scheduled to take place in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara state, on November 13th and 14th. The program is exclusively for presidents and executives of the participating associations.

In an invitation letter addressed to the development associations, Mallam Nasir Abdulquadri highlighted the objective of the training, which is to enhance development in Kwara Central through capacity building and intellectual empowerment of youth-focused organization leaders.

Abdulquadri stressed the importance of collective capacity building to drive positive change in the district, emphasizing the need to focus on areas such as security, community relations, communications, mentoring, and needs assessment.

The training aims to equip youth leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to actively contribute to community development and governance, providing real-time feedback to support the government and address urgent grassroots needs.

Abdulquadri expressed his expectation that the active involvement of the associations would greatly enrich the experience and success of the event.

Attendees were reminded that proxy attendance is not allowed and were extended the compliments of Senator Saliu Mustapha.
