Tani Ọlọhun Gets Brand New Toyota Highlander
The car, a 12 million naira foreign-used Toyota Highlander, was purchased for him by the Obaela Foundation.
One of the speakers at the hand-over party highlighted how Tani Olorun is a divine being whose presence on earth is God’s gift.
It was also mentioned that the traditional worshipers accept that Tani Olorun has offended some people, but it was not the first time people from other religions would be disrespecting Isese.
They therefore said a precedence has been set – whenever people of different religions disrespect traditional worshipers and their gods, it means they can also sue them in court.
The embattled traditionalist had earlier released an apology letter through his lawyer for the chaos his utterances and actions had caused.
He had been accused of blasphemy, burning the Qur’an, and exhibiting actions that the Muslims in Ilorin found disrespectful.
The letter, addressed to the Association of Proud Sons and Daughters of Ilorin Emirate and the entire Muslim clerics and Muslim adherents worldwide, dated October 9, 2023, claimed Tani Olorun had turned a new leaf.
An excerpt of the letter reads thus: “We are also aware that the case has generated a lot of campaigns of calumny and misrepresentation of facts from some faceless individuals against your good intentions for sanity, peace, and decorum to prevail not only in Ilorin but the entire country“.
Among other allegations, the Isese worshiper was alleged to have threatened to bring other traditional worshipers to Ilorin to start a war.
