Tragedy Strikes Kwara Politics As Another Prominent Leader Passes Away In Fatal Accident
In a tragic loss for Kwara State, former Deputy Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly (KWHA), Chief C.T. Ayeni, has died in a fatal accident earlier today at the Igbaja Road junction in the Ajase-Ipo area of Kwara State, KwaraReporters confirmed.
Chief Ayeni, a respected figure in Kwara politics, served in various capacities throughout his career, leaving a legacy of dedication and service to his state and community.
Chief Ayeni held the position of Deputy Speaker in the Kwara House of Assembly from 1999 to 2000. Following this, he was appointed Honourable Commissioner of Agriculture from 2000 to 2003, where he played a significant role in boosting the agricultural sector. Later, he served as Deputy Chief of Staff from 2011 to 2015, and in 2017, he was appointed Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, a position he held until 2018.
Known as a "man of peace," Chief Ayeni was well-regarded for his friendliness and accommodating nature. Friends, family, and colleagues are mourning the loss of a figure who left an indelible mark on Kwara State’s political landscape.
