An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Kwara State, Alhaji Ibrahim Illiasu Moro, has declared that the popular O to ge (Enough is Enough) movement that brought the ruling party to power in 2019 has failed to live up to expectations.

Alhaji Moro made this known during a radio interview in Ilorin, the state capital, where he assessed the state’s political developments in the past six years.

According to him, the O to ge crusade, which swept through Kwara with the promise of liberation and good governance, has been reduced to a mere slogan with little to show for it in terms of meaningful progress.

“O to ge and its crusaders have failed woefully. The people who championed it have not delivered on their promises, and the situation of ordinary Kwarans has not improved as expected,” he said.

The APC stalwart further condemned some of the projects carried out by the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, describing them as fraudulent and wasteful.

“Is it the scraping of good roads and repainting them that you want to call road construction? Or the so-called remodeling of Kwara Hotel that was used to swindle the state with an exorbitant rate of over ₦18 billion of our scarce resources? These are nothing but frauds in the name of governance,” Moro alleged.

He maintained that such projects do not reflect the genuine needs of the people, insisting that they were designed to enrich a few individuals at the expense of taxpayers.

“Kwarans voted for change, not deceit. People expected development, not cosmetic projects that add no real value. We cannot continue like this,” he added.

Alhaji Moro urged APC leaders to reflect on the shortcomings of the government and take urgent steps to restore public confidence ahead of future elections.

The O to ge movement, launched in 2019, was a rallying cry that led to the end of the Saraki dynasty’s dominance in Kwara politics. It swept the APC to power in both the state and federal elections.
